NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

St Aloysius Gonzaga School observed National Science day on 28 February 2024, commemorating the discovery of Raman effect by Sir C.V Raman. The Theme of the year was 'Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat 'which will help address global concerns and emphasise the need to make India 'Atmanirbhar' through science.

During the morning assembly of Classes I to V, Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ highlighted the significance of the day. He encouraged the students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, ask ‘why’ questions, read books about science and inculcate scientific temper. A video on ‘Science and technology in our daily life’ was shown to raise the awareness of importance of Science and Technology among students. Students brought articles and pictures related to the theme and decorated the bulletin boards. Ms Beena Rosita Pais and Ms Sonia Neeta Rodrigues coordinated the event.
